Trivia
- While this episode is not a direct adaptation of anything, it has similar plot elements to the short story The Bad Babysitter from The Haunting Hour. They both involve an evil babysitter using voodoo, although in the story it is voodoo cookies. In both stories, the villain initially targets someone who annoys the protagonist.
- Margot Kidder won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Performer in a Children's or Pre-School Children's Series for her performance in this episode. Additionally, writer Melody Fox won a Writers' Guild of Canada Award and Liam Dickinson was nominated for a Leo Award for it.
